Abstract
Throughout the ages, many have been the pedagogical and methodological tendencies that arise in the scope of foreign language teaching. The Common European Framework of Reference for Languages contains a chapter called «Role of tasks and activities» (p. 147) and in the Portuguese Basic English Program «it is suggested that the organization of learning processes is done through tasks» (p. 62). Not neglecting these two pillars of teaching activity, it is up to the foreign language teacher to understand what it is, how it works, what are the advantages of teaching using tasks in his or her class and, above all, how to articulate these principles with curricular programs. The school should prepare students for real-life situations, not only by teaching them concepts, but also by giving them the tools to learn how to learn, especially in projects that depend on the collaboration of all. At European level, Erasmus projects, the eTwinning and Microsoft Educators Community platforms are an example of good practice and privileged spaces for collaboration and sharing between teachers and students of various nationalities. In this presentation, we intend to demonstrate how these projects promote the application of the principles based on TBLT (Task Based Language Teaching) methodology, more specifically, regarding the articulation and application of the 3C's (Communication, Collaboration and Creativity) through this methodology. We will present examples of projects carried out by the students of the Basic School E.B. 2/3 Dr. Alberto Iria, in articulation with European and International partners.
